Philipp Fervers
Dr. Philipp Fervers
I am a student after 2. state examination and joined the Institute of Bioinformatics in May 2016. Since then I am working on my doctoral research study about the influence of upstream open reading frames (uORF) on gene expression in Trypanosoma congolense. Furthermore I am interested in the context of start codons and post transcriptional gene regulation in Trypanosoma.
Education
  • Academic Studies of Human Medicine at WWU Münster
  • 2011 - 2012: Pre-clinical part
  • 2013 - 2016: Clinical part
Internships
  • 4 weeks of internship at the International Research Centre of Jüich (Institute INM-4 “Physics of Medical Imaging“, chief: Prof. H. Herzog)
  • 6 months of medical traineeship with focus on radiology, cardiology and general medicine
